Localization Engineer

MO Group International, a Brussels based multilingual business solutions company, is seeking a highly organized and self-driven Localization Engineer. The Localization Engineer ensures internationalization compliance in the source code through auditing the code and highlighting potential problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the localization process from English into the target language
  • Investigate bugs in localized builds and identify solutions
  • Help developers fix globalization and localizability issues
  • Implement localization bug solutions

Requirements:

  • Experience in an internationalization/globalization development environment
  • Knowledge of Unicode and character encoding
  • Very strong programming/scripting experience: C++, Java, ASP, XML, Python, Perl, JavaScript
  • Experience working with: Visual Studio .NET 2003, CodeWarrior, source control systems, Resorcerer, Xcode
  • OS experience: Windows and some Unix/Linux for European and Asian languages
  • Ability to investigate client software for internationalization requirements
  • Solid knowledge of database schemas
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English - other European languages are an advantage
  • Ability to convey information to a cross-functional team
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective time management, organization capabilities
  • University degree or equivalent experience
